King Air Charter

Lakeshore Aviation is pleased to introduce the latest addition to our charter fleet, a Beechcraft King Air C90 — the first in the country to be upgraded with new, fuel-efficient, higher-horsepower, GE H80 turboprop engines. This King Air not only features brand new engines and props, but also a stunning new paint job, a gorgeous new dark leather interior and a state-of-the-art “glass” (digital) cockpit. Our customers enjoy getting to their destinations faster and in premium comfort in this top-of-the-line aircraft.

The new GE turboprops not only offer increased speed and climb performance, but also dramatically-reduced maintenance costs and downtime. The design of the 800-shaft-horsepower GE H80 eliminates hot section inspections, long a costly and time consuming drawback of the King Air’s original Pratt & Whitney engines. With its unique “slinger ring” technology injecting fuel into the engine, costly nozzle inspections (every 300 hours) are eliminated, as well. Lakeshore Aviation president Curt Drumm estimates this could save the aircraft owner more than $200,000 over the lifetime of the engine. The H80 has a 3600 hour TBO (Time Between Overhaul). “This not only saves us a lot of money, but wasted downtime, as well,” Drumm said. “We’ll be out flying instead of sitting in the shop. We’re friendlier at the gas pump, as well.”

The aircraft’s “glass” cockpit includes all new Garmin avionics, centered on dual G600 PFD/MFD displays, driven by GTN-750 and GNS-530 GPS’s. Pilots will enjoy Garmin’s latest GWX-70 color digital radar combined with XM satellite, Stormscope and new ADSB technology for ultimate weather avoidance. Traffic awareness is provided by TCAS, TIS and ADSB. There are four sources of electronic charts and approach plates. All this interfaces to an STEC 65 autopilot, fully coupled for all types of approaches. Intercom and XM Radio is provided through a PS Engineering 8000BT intercom for complete pilot and passenger comfort, even featuring Bluetooth technology.
